This is NOT the only file that is corrupted. All the saves that I backed up from my previous computer are getting this error message. That means all my saves have died, including Myettah and my simself + her husband (oh, and her kid too. I’m remorseful about that. Definitely.)
Sooo…I guess there’s nothing to do but start anew? 
Those updates might take a bit.

I had the exact same thing happen to my legacy I was working on… EVERYTHING was corrupted!
Anyhoo, one good thing is gets one’s brain working overtime on how to remedy the situation and somehow work it into the story if you have a saveable file or sim from the legacy anywhere.
What I would like to know is why in the heck does it happen??
